The flexibility and Strength program

Level I of our program is a seven-minute pre-class warm-up and a three-minute post-class stretch. Created by Hall of Fame gymnast Jessica Howard and Master Teacher Rebecca Tsivkin, with music by Steven Mitchell, the program is designed to increase flexibility, strength and coordination, as well as develop spatial awareness, musicality and personal accountability. The video demonstrates the expectations of the program on a six-year-old through to  what is required of the more advanced dancer. The elements are choreographed to be done in class under the instruction of a teacher, and as the student develops, it can be done independently. A detailed explanation of each exercise is included, as well as suggestions for how to incorporate the program into your class.
